Here's a hot start to the week.

Ski?

It has only snowed in Johannesburg about 5 times since 1960 and we can take out ours skis this weekend.. although most is already melting. Here on the sunny east coast 600kms from Jhb we are still enjoying glorious winter sun and temperatures of 20c .. not sure what that is in Farenheit but pretty warm.

Here comes the sun

Ok, so I would like to by sunnying it up this weekend on a boat somewhere... but will be taking to the skies to see the unusual amount of snow that has fallen in our mountains here. We don't get much snow in South Africa, but we have had some this winter. Durban is cool at 15 - 20c, but not too bad seeing as the snow is about 2 hours drive from us.

So if you're in the sunshine this weekend, enjoy.. especially if it comes with or without red shorts!!

Mr Gay World 2011, Francois Nel (right) from South Africa

Blue sky Monday, but an awesome day for South Africa with our home boy Franscois Nel winning the title Mr Gay World 2011 at the Pageant held in the Philipines last night. Seen right with Mr Gay South Africa organiser Coenie, Francois is the second winner from South Africa of this prestigious title. You will recall that Charl van den Berg, whose blog appears on the right side-blog here clinched the title last year.

The 1st runner-up was USA, 2nd runner-up Spain, 3rd runner-up Australia and 4th runner-up New Zealand. We are so proud of you Francois.
